Vision Insurance
I get many inquiries about vision insurance, and I think most of them are remembering the days of old. I remember back when I first entered the work force, you and anyone in your family got a free pair of glasses once a year and no charge for any trip to the optometrist.
I am afraid those days are long gone. While I can sell you a vision insurance policy, today they are basically a discount program. If you have a vision insurance plan by all means keep it, and if you believe in it I will sell it, I just would like to make your choices clear. If you go to one of the many buy one get one free sales, that are constantly being advertised throughout Wisconsin, you can usually get a better deal than any insurance plan can offer. There is one other option, that I think, can get the most bang for your buck, I will explain that later in this Blog.

Dental Insurance
There are several types of dental insurance plans available in Wisconsin. I carry several providers, to match the specific needs of different customers. I am a huge believer of carrying dental insurance, especially if you have young children. The cost of a basic plan when bought together with a health insurance plan is minimal, and it will pay for itself, by just getting the cleanings twice a year. As with vision insurance, dental insurance isn't what it was thirty years ago. You can still get a stand alone plan that is designed much like a PPO health plan. These types of plan have very good coverage, and if you stay in the designated network is a very good value. The other type of dental insurance, is a reimbursement plan. This type of plan helps contain costs by paying a set amount for each service. For instance it may pay $75.00 each for cleanings, or $150.00 for a filling. The monthly premiums are very reasonable and if you just do the minimum, it almost pays for itself.
Now earlier I mentioned that there was one option that was my favorite, and that is a combination of both vision and dental insurance. We carry plans that you receive credits in your dental plan that you can use for vision care. For one premium you can use the option that you need the most, dental care or vision care.
LJM Insurance has plan for you, whatever your needs!

I will be the first to admit that I am not a huge baseball fan. The strike in the mid 80's did it for me. I now prefer to watch the local boys play, see the thrill of a true game, with nothing on the line but pride. The situation that is in the news now with all of the big names just solidifies the need to make some drastic changes. We need to end the $100,000,000.00 contracts and if you get caught with an illegal substance, your contract is null and void. I know there are a ton of people who love the game, and so do I, but what the major leagues have turned into, is just a fiasco. Only my .02 cents.
